About Us

Established in December 2021, OMILAYE S.A. is a public limited company under Beninese law, created in response to the Government of Benin’s decision to entrust the management of the rural public drinking water service to professional private operators through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

This structural reform, led by the National Agency for Rural Drinking Water Supply (ANAEPMR), aims to ensure the sustainability, quality, and performance of the public water service in rural areas, while significantly improving access to drinking water.

It is in this context that the ERANOVE–UDUMA–VERGNET HYDRO consortium, drawing on its recognized expertise in managing public water services in Africa, was selected to administer two concession areas on a national scale. From this partnership, OMILAYE S.A. was established.
